Help with your archive

Using the browser extension

Install WHT.day from the public Chrome Web Store listing, then pin it to your toolbar. Click Sign in to WHT.day, sign in in the tab that opens and return to the extension when it confirms the connection.

When you choose Save, WHT.day records the current page's URL, title, readable article text when available, image reference and any note you add. You can also save a page with Ctrl+Shift+S or Cmd+Shift+S, or use the right-click menu for a page, link or image.

Each saved item appears in Today. At local midnight, your saved sources are assembled into a daily edition and filed in your searchable archive.

Common questions

Why did the extension save only the link?
Some sites block browser extraction or do not expose readable page text. WHT.day still saves the original source link and attempts server-side metadata capture, so the item remains in your archive.
How do I add or change a note?
Open the saved item in Today, Archive or Search, then select Add a note or click the existing note. Press Enter to save, Shift+Enter for a line break and Escape to cancel.
How do I disconnect the extension?
Open the extension and use Disconnect. You can also revoke its connection from Settings.
Can I remove an item?
Yes. You control the items in your archive and can remove an item from the app. Removing an item also removes its search index record.

Privacy and safety

The extension reads page data only after you explicitly save a page, link or image. It does not monitor your browsing in the background, inject advertising or load remotely hosted executable code. Read the full Privacy Policy.
